The Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA) is seeking a passionate and motivated Girls Hockey Coach to join our coaching staff for the upcoming season.
OHA is a private boarding high school hockey academy in Cornwall, Ontario, serving student-athletes from across Canada and around the world. Our girls program continues to grow, with multiple teams competing at a high level.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage one of our girls hockey teams.
- Plan and conduct engaging on-ice practices focused on individual and team development.
- Develop players both technically and tactically throughout the season.
- Prepare teams for games, tournaments, and league play.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and competitive team environment.
- Support the academic and personal development of student-athletes within the academy environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous hockey coaching experience.
- Strong understanding of player development and modern hockey concepts.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teenage student-athletes.
- Hockey Canada coaching certification is an asset.
- Playing or coaching experience at a competitive level is an asset.
- Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and required coaching certifications.
