Key Responsibilities:
On-Ice Performance & Player Development
- Design and execute high-tempo, progressive practice plans focused on skill acquisition, tactical awareness, and positional play.
- Implement modern systems (forecheck, power play, penalty kill) aligned with the program’s competitive goals.
- Utilize video analysis to provide constructive feedback to both the team and individual players.
Program Administration & Promotion
- Participate in community events, media requests, and promotional activities to elevate the program’s profile
- Team Transportation: Obtain and maintain a valid Class "C" Commercial Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent) to safely help operate team buses/vehicles.
- Travel Management: Oversee team itinerary logistics, meal coordination, and hotel check-ins during travel days, ensuring a professional and disciplined environment on the road.
- Academy Assistance: Active contribution to daily academy operations by executing various campus tasks as assigned by administration (e.g., supervising study halls, assisting with meal monitoring, or coordinate scheduling).
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 2/3 years of competitive coaching experience. Strong playing background is an asset.
- Requirements: Must pass a vulnerable sector criminal background check and hold valid First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Certifications: High Performance 1 (HP1) is a bonus (Or working towards)
